Good question. I have worked in hospitals before testing patient samples which I found quite repetitive and to be honest, a little boring. Running the same tests on the same samples is very repetitive whereas in research I have lots of different samples and different tests to do to look at how the cancer cells are different from healthy cells. I find this is personally better for me, I don’t tend to get bored if I have lots of different things to do and the experiments are also very interesting, I love designing my own experiments and getting the results at the end is a very satisfying feeling 🙂
