So to get into engineering you can go two ways about it. You can do a vocational course/apprenticeship at college, which is usually a paid course over 2-3 years where you learn to be an engineer by shadowing other engineers and doing small jobs in a workplace. This requires only C grades in Maths, English and Science and a passion to do it.

Or you could go to university to learn engineering (there are many types however so I would look into which type you prefer) and usually you would need A levels to do that at grades AAB generally (for Cardiff) and one of them would have to be Maths. Getting in to College however to do the A-levels could be done with B’s and C’s I think.

But make sure you look around at your options, as this has 2 entry points one may be better for you than the other depending on what you want to do in future. (My brother does an electrical engineering apprenticeship and gets paid more than I did as a student).

      Hope this helps 🙂
