• Question: Do you think that we could ever create custom organs via a mixture of cloning, merging that cell with a melanoma to create sufficient cells to form the tissue and then 3D bio printing it into the correct structure. (sorry not sure who to ask for this)

      Actually thats research that is currently happening. We are generally trying to use specialised cells such as liver and heart cells, or undifferentiated cells called stem cells which we can turn into the cells of our choice. We already do this for things like skin grafts to help people with burns. But for more advanced organs like the liver and heart we are still quite some way off.

      But sure one day we will get there, especially as 3d printing gets better so we can map the cells to grow in the correct network more accurately 🙂
